Memorial Day Message: Honoring the Brave
Hello, dear friends! Pastor Greg here from Faith Freewill Baptist Church. On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a solemn reminder of the cost of our freedom.
A Time to Remember
John 15:13 tells us, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Today, we remember those who embodied this selfless love, giving their lives to protect the liberties we hold dear.
Prayers for Families and Loved Ones
Let us also lift up in prayer the families who carry the memories of their loved ones. Psalm 147:3 reminds us, “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” May God’s comfort and peace surround all those who grieve and may they find strength in His promises.
Gratitude for Our Freedom
As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us give thanks for the blessings of freedom. Galatians 5:13 says, “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Let us honor the memory of the fallen by living lives of service, kindness, and gratitude.
Join Us at Faith Freewill Baptist Church
We invite you to join us at Faith Freewill Baptist Church, located at 641 River Road, as we come together in prayer and remembrance. Let us honor those who served by celebrating the freedom they fought to preserve.
May this Memorial Day be a time of reflection, gratitude, and unity.
Blessings and love,
Pastor Greg
