August Message: Finding Rest in God

Hello, dear friends! Pastor Greg here from Faith Freewill Baptist Church. As the summer days begin to wind down and we prepare for a new season, August offers us a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and find rest in God’s presence.

Rest for the Weary

Matthew 11:28 reminds us, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” No matter the burdens we carry, God invites us to lay them at His feet. His peace brings true rest and renewal for our hearts and minds.

Trusting in God’s Provision

Philippians 4:19 assures us, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” As we face the uncertainties of a new school year, changes at work, or challenges in our personal lives, we can trust that God will provide for us in every circumstance.

A Time to Reconnect

August is also a great time to reconnect with loved ones and grow in fellowship with others. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us, “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.” Whether it’s through Sunday worship, Bible study, or acts of service, let us strengthen our community in Christ.
