September 11th Message: Remembering and Praying for Our Nation

Hello, dear friends! Pastor Greg here from Faith Freewill Baptist Church. As we reflect on the events of September 11th, we are reminded of the importance of unity, prayer, and the strength that comes from God in times of tragedy.

A Call to Remember

On this day, we remember those who lost their lives in the tragic events of 9/11. Psalm 34:18 tells us, “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” We honor the memory of those who gave their lives and those who continue to serve and protect our nation.

Unity in Prayer

September 11th is also a time for us to come together in prayer. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2, we are instructed, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” Let us pray for our leaders, our communities, and for peace to reign in our hearts and in our nation.

The Power of God’s Comfort

In times of sorrow, God promises to be our comforter. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” As we remember those affected by the events of September 11th, let us offer our prayers and support to those still grieving.

Join Us at Faith Freewill Baptist Church

We invite you to join us at Faith Freewill Baptist Church, located at 641 River Road. Together, we will remember those we’ve lost, pray for our nation, and find comfort in God’s loving arms. May we all draw near to Him in this season of remembrance and prayer.

Blessings and love,

Pastor Greg
