Veteran’s Day Message: Honoring Those Who Served
Hello, dear friends! Pastor Greg here from Faith Freewill Baptist Church. On this Veteran’s Day, we take a moment to honor and remember all the brave men and women who have served our country. Their sacrifices have made it possible for us to enjoy the freedoms and blessings we often take for granted.
A Call to Honor Our Veterans
In John 15:13, Jesus says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” The courage and selflessness of our veterans reflect this sacrificial love, as many have given so much, even their lives, to protect and defend our nation.
Thankfulness for Their Service
Psalm 107:1 reminds us, “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.” On this day, we are thankful for the service of every veteran. We recognize the sacrifices made by them and their families and express our heartfelt gratitude for their dedication to protecting our freedom.
God’s Comfort and Strength
For those veterans who continue to serve in various capacities or who are facing challenges today, we pray for God’s peace and strength. In Isaiah 41:10, God promises, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” May God provide comfort to all who carry the weight of their service.
